The Call

Way back in 1976, a prophetess told me the following:

The Lord is going to take you to places you never dreamed possible. That which you are doing for Him now will grow into ministries you could not have imagined. Serve Him with all your heart and might.

At the time, I was in school and active in ministries such as SCA, YFC, Sunday School teaching, worship leading etc. After I left school, I always got involved wherever I could be of service.

Servicing my Heavenly Father and His people has always been a priority in my life.

Close Quarters

Living together, or alone, in close quarters, albet it a large or small house, can become very daunting.  Without the freedom to come and go and to have time alone (or too much of it), it is easy to become more aware of faults of our loved ones.  The differences in characters between the children lead to squabbles.  Couples can find themselves differing in opinion, like pink and blue. Children who most times eat what they are given, are becoming a little too fussy.  I’m sure you can think of many more examples in your household.  With too much time to think (or over-think), you could be finding fault even with yourself!

Psalm 133 v 1 says:  How wonderful, how beautiful,  when brothers and sisters get along!

Suggestion today comes from Romans 12 v 2:  Don't become so well-adjusted to your ways that you fit into them without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out.

Prayer:  Father we want to bring our attitudes and differences before Your Throne of grace today.  As a family and as individuals, may we fix our attention on You, and on the needs of each other before demanding our own way.

Blessings. Stella Smuts.
